ADDITIONAL BATH PRESS PROPOSAL OFFERS MORE JOBS & MONEY FOR LOCAL REGENERATION
This week St James’ Investments and Tesco have submitted an additional planning application for the Bath Press site.
The mixed use development will look the same, with the community space replaced to provide additional creative work units and flexible office space.
These new proposals will both increase the future employment opportunities on the site, and will also enable a significant financial contribution to be offered as part of a Section 106 agreement to support the council’s regeneration strategy.
Christopher Borkowski, St James Investments said:
“We are now submitting a new proposal for officers and councillors to consider. It is designed to retain the high quality project we have already proposed, whilst allowing us to make a significant contribution towards other regeneration projects in the city”.
The changes follow more than three years of extensive consultation and ongoing discussions with local people and B&NES council.
Christopher Borkowski continued: “We know that the Bath Press is important to the City and to its residents. We believe passionately that the new proposal will rejuvenate the Bath Press, and provide the development and jobs which will help Bath’s growing economy.”
