Christopher Borkowski – Managing Director

Christopher graduated from the London School of Economics, before starting a career in Property that has spanned 30 years. Before setting up SJI in 1993, Christopher held a number of senior roles in high profile companies, including International Stores (Development Director), Unipart (Retail Development Director) and Ladbrokes (Property and Development Director).

Roger Salisbury – Finance Director

Roger qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1979 and gained extensive experience in audit and accounting for the development sector. He joined the SJI team in 1994 as company accountant and was appointed as finance director in 2008.

James Hepburn – Development Manager

James’ career began over 10 years ago securing sites and planning permission for Waldon and he moved on to Village Developments to run the land and planning portfolio delivering hundreds of homes across the south east. He joined SJI in 2005 and established himself working on many high profile town and city centre acquisitions primarily for retail development.

Stephen Berry – Development Manager

Stephen joined the SJI team in March 2010. A graduate of Oxford University, he has some 35 years experience in development and construction. He was previously Development Director at ING Real Estate Development UK Ltd, which was formed in 2002 from the buy-out of London & Amsterdam Developments Ltd where he was a member of the funding team. Prior to that he was a director of London & General Property and Shearwater Property Holdings plc.

Nicola Paine – Executive Assistant

Nicola has over 10 years experience working within Property Development and joined the SJI team in July 1998.  Nicola started her property career at Minerva Plc in 1999 where the last 2 years were spent as Executive Assistant to the Chairman. Nicola then went on to join Tesco Plc working for the Development Director and through her role at Tesco was introduced to the SJI team.

Claire McCollum – Company Secretary

Claire has been with SJI since 1997 where she started as PA to Christopher Borkowski and later became Company Secretary. After 7 years Claire took a break to start her family then returned on a part time basis to continue her role as Company Secretary.  Prior to joining SJI Claire worked as PA to the Managing Director of Nikko Europe.

Olivia Johnson – Receptionist

Olivia joined the SJI team in January 2011 as our new receptionist. Previously Olivia worked in the beauty and fashion industry. Her drive and can do attitude is already making a difference to the team and friends of SJI.

Poppy Borkowski – Website Cover Girl

Poppy is very much part of the SJI team and has been for the last 12 years. Those who are regular visitors to the office will know her well!
